Building More Effective Interpersonal Communication Skills
Overview: This community education class is designed to provide an overview of core skills This calss (includes Nonviolent Communication)DBT and offer opportunities to learn and practice new skills. Participants will be asked to reflect on new concepts and practice new skills between sessions.
Duration: 8 weeksTime: 90 minutes per session, plus 30 or more minutes of practice outside of class each weekCost: Free
Who Should Attend: Individuals 18 or older who want to improve communication with family, friends, work associates, or other important people in their lives.
In the rush of life, it can be easy to drop into habitual ways of communicating that may not be as effective as we desire. Taking time for a communication tune-up can help us to reflect on what is working well and what might need improvement.
